The Focus on 2019
Should the bystanders somehow miss the unmistakable soundtrack produced by the RSV4’s engine, they’re sure to catch its new, distinctive appearance.
The 2019 model year sees a redesigned graphics package, aimed at the dark side. Its new color way focuses on keeping the RSV4’s subtle, but with bright red accents and aluminum alloy wheels.

The heart of the RSV4 remains the same for the new model year, and for good reason. Its 999cc V4 engine is widely accepted as the most powerful, yet tractable powerplant in the modern superbike class.
How does 201 horsepower at a screamin’ 13,000 rpm sound? We like to call it a seriously throaty pitch—one so distinct that it will turn heads at the coffee shop and racing paddock alike.
We put our best engineers to work on the RSV4, which means the V4 was given special treatment, like extremely lightweight pistons, a unique honing treatment for the connecting rods, and gearbox that offers crisp shifting every time. There were no details missed on the V4, not one.
Oh, and to keep the power in control, we’ve given it the most advanced electronic package on the market—the Aprilia Ride Performance Control.
Multi-level Aprilia Traction Control (ATC) and Aprilia Wheelie Control (AWC) systems keep things racing forward, while the Aprilia Quickshift (AQS) and Aprilia Launch Control (ALC) save every tenth possible.
Superbike Handling for the Everyday Rider
Spend one hour aboard an RSV4 RR carving corners on canyon twisties or destroying apexes at the local track day. In that one hour, the V4 superbike’s chassis will bring you as close to a real-life superhero as possible, period.
The RSV4 gets all the best chassis components, and nothing less. Its main frame is the same that’s used in cutthroat WSBK competition, and complemented by a set of 43mm Sachs front forks and a Sachs monoshock out back.
